Can I query you?

I keep my literary agent side and editor side separate. Please do not query me through this website. Instead, visit the Storm Literary website or Query Tracker to view my submission guidelines.

If you edit my book, can I query you?

Although the rules have changed from the AALA (American Association of Literary Agents), my process will not be changing. I will not consider manuscripts I have been paid to edit for representation. This is stated in communication with authors through the inquiry process and within my editorial contract. You may query other agents at Storm. It is up to their discretion how to handle your query. But there are many, many agents out there who could be the perfect fit for you!

How do I know what type of editing I need?

If you have any big picture issues (pacing, character, plot), you may need a developmental edit or manuscript evaluation. If you’re more worried about the sentences themselves, you may need a line edit. And if you’re unsure, you can always send an inquiry and we can discuss.
